Our Team
Richard Mullen
Lead Pastor
Bold and courageous, Richard Mullen is one of the founding pastors of Cornerstone Church. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from Baylor University and serves on the board of FCA Urban Atlanta. His years living in Saudi Arabia and traveling the world have contributed to his global perspective, visionary leadership, and spirit of servanthood. His near decade in ministry has included lay pastoring, church planting, and consistent service to others.
Through it all, he’s navigated difficult communities to see the Gospel spread. A loving husband to Amanda and father to Micah, Jaeden, Amaya, Aaliya, and Aida, Richard can be found flexing his skills in the kitchen, putting his green thumb to work in the garden, or perhaps reminiscing about when he played in the Little League World Series in 1997.
Kim Gillespie
Executive Director, Operations
Kim Gillespie is the Executive Director of Operations for Cornerstone Church in the West End, where her gifts of discernment, edification, and administration are being put to good use. After earning a B.A. in Economics from Loyola University-Chicago and a Master of Arts in Christian Education with a focus in Christian Educational Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary, Kim spent ten years as an educator. She remains an equipper and writer to the core.
During her time on the operations team of the campus ministry Impact, she planned and led conferences, trained students, and organized mission trips. More recently, Kim has contributed to the Urban Ministries, Inc. Precepts for Living commentaries, the (in)courage A Moment to Breathe daily devotional, and the (in)courage Women’s Devotional Bible. Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Kim lived all over the States before landing in ATL. She’s been married to husband Reggie for over 15 years now, and the couple shares three children: son Enoch and twin daughters Isabella and Issa. Kim loves reading, writing, exploring, and spending time with her family.
Sandra Mitchell
Kids Director
Sandra Mitchell is the Kids Director at Cornerstone ATL. With over twenty years of experience working with children and families both in the school system and in youth ministry, Sandra’s teaching experience and love for God and the Bible allow her to serve her community and care for others well. Sandra’s welcoming spirit makes it easy for her to connect.
A self-proclaimed “Bible nerd,” she has a Scripture or a Biblical account that speaks to most situations, a gift she’s honed over the past twenty years through long-standing participation in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). Sandra is known for wearing her heart on her sleeve—and for verbally processing her way through all the books, podcasts, and documentaries she consumes. A lover of life’s simple gifts, Sandra’s greatest joy is her family, including husband Damian and their five children.
Moe Hafeez
Family Pastor
Moe Hafeez is a pastor, father, and engaging leader. After earning a BA from Cleveland State University, he trained with Cru as part of The Impact Movement and served as a campus minister for over a decade. Moe is currently working on a certification in Collective Trauma Therapy from the Allender Center at Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and as a board member of King Culture, he endeavors to equip young men to become selfless leaders.
Whether out for a run, playing NBA 2K, or listening to hip hop, Moe’s compassionate care for others and strong sense of humor bring an added depth and value to all he does. Of all his accomplishments, however, Moe’s pride and joy are his two boys Josiah and Elisha, his daughter Josephine, and his lovely wife Sandy.

When she’s not practicing her cello or traveling, Jordyn is likely to be sharing a cup of locally sourced coffee with her closest friends.
